KAT-TUN’s Messages + Kamenashi Kazuya’s Mail from Sendai’s Utachu Junior High Baseball Club’s Miura Tōi-kun; translations by takarai-karin please don’t remove the (c)
■ → From Going! S&N 2011.07.31 wherein KAT-TUN members came and performed 「DIAMOND」 in Going! to cheer for the Utachu baseball club boys Kamenashi met in Sendai back in May.
Ueda: This song 「DIAMOND」, when you read the lyrics you’ll see how much it tells about the strength we can take from baseball. I think for our young ballplayers this would be an encouraging song. Thank you very much. Once more, Nakamaru-kun what do you think about the Utachu junior high you just saw in the video?
Yucchi: It’s unfortunate that the game turned out as it is, but I think there’s a lot they can learn by playing baseball. I also watched the VTR from last time and the one before that, where Ma-kun and Iwasaki*-player gave them messages, and I can see that that gave them strength. And from now on, even after they’ve become high school students they can keep on doing their best.
Ueda: And Tanaka-kun, what do you think?
Kōki: The result of the game was a bit unfortunate, but there’s a huge strength they can draw from striving for a dream, so I think they’re amazing. And possibly this won’t be the end, and they would continue from this. I think that would bring them closer to fulfilling their promise to their (late) coach. As for us we can only try and convey the strength of our song, so the five of us did talked about how much we want to cheer for them. They still have their dreams, so I hope they’d keep on doing their best.
Mori: And here we have a message from Utachu junior high’s ace, Miura Tōi-kun for Kamenashi-san. I’ll be reading from it; “Kamenashi-san, it’s been a while. Unfortunately we didn’t manage to win the all-junior high district prelimenary, and couldn’t answer everybody’s faith in us. We were struck hard by it. It’s been 4 months since the earthquake disaster. The construction of new houses in our town is mostly completed. The housing I’d live in is anticipated to be done after the Obon festival. I’m sure there’s still a lot of hardships after this, but I want to continue on without forgetting our dreams. I want to continue playing my beloved baseball in high school too. PS: Since a lot of tournaments are cancelled because of the disaster, us the third year students can’t play many games, so we’re a bit restless. Kamenashi-san, please come visit us so we can have a match! ^^ Utachu junior high, Miura Tōi.”
Kazuya: Thank you very much.
Ueda: Kamenashi-kun this is a nice message, isn’t it?
Kazuya: It really is, we can see how they haven’t forgotten their hopes and wishes. Even though the match turned out as a defeat, for the students who’d continue their baseball in high school and also for the ones that won’t, I hope none of them forget to strive for all of their hopes and dreams. As for the match, they strike me out and I lost last time,
Ueda: Then as a revenge—
Kazuya: Right, and I can’t do a match alone, so maybe our members can train to play baseball…
Ueda: Really? You’d do it?
Yucchi: Uh but I only have very little experience in baseball.
Ueda: Then Nakamaru-kun, you can sit this one out.
Yucchi: Thank you.
Kōki: I’m pretty sure we’d get easily beaten though.
Kazuya: If we can actually do that a match would be possible.
Ueda: That would be nice indeed. Then, Taguchi-kun, do you have any words for Miura-kun just now or the boys and girls in the disaster area?
Junno: Yes, I’d be really happy if our song can cheer them up even for a bit. And what we can do right now, we’d continue on doing our best with them. 「Going!」 into the future.
Ueda: Ah, that’s a clever way of saying it. *laughs*
Kōki: I’m sorry but the way he was already smirking before saying it-
Ueda: He seems pleased with himself *laughs* And Ueda-kun?
Tatchan: Yes. We’ve been thinking a lot about what we can do, and so with our song, so that it can somehow reach their dreams and we can all strive to do our best together.
Ueda: Right, today I’m reminded again of how KAT-TUN has kind members. Recentlly I met Ueda-kun by chance—
Kazuya: Double Ueda?
Ueda: *laughs* Right. We talked for a while and then I went ‘Later, Ueda-kun,’ and Ueda-kun was so kind, he said ‘please take care of Kame’. That’s amazing. I honestly think KAT-TUN is amazing. I mean, I’ve never said ‘please take care of Arita’** not even once!
Kazuya: We’ve become more united, just like the boys (of Utachu). They reminded us of that again and we’re more united and I think we’d be able to do more now.
Ueda: Then please come again.
KAT-TUN: Thank you very much.
*It should be noted there’s no ‘Iwasaki’ in Rakuten, lol. Careful with your mouth, Yucchi, you might piss somebody off. We do have an ‘Iwakuma’ and a ‘Yamasaki’ though. **Arita-san is Ueda-san’s combi partner in Cream Stew.
Thank you for reading the translations, and thank you for reblogging and not copy-pasting/altering the posts :3
